Using this Super WHY! episode, students learn about a strategy for asking others for help using the story of "The Little Red Hen". They also explore the alphabet, practice spelling and use the power of reading to change the story. Students follow along with the story as "Not I!" "Not I!" "Not I!" is all Red's friends say when she asks for their help gathering apples. The Super Readers take off into the story of "The Little Red Hen" and see that her friends wouldn't assist her either. The Super Readers lend a hand to help the Hen and Red discover a handy solution to her problem too.
