INFO:
Bajan Old Time Saying: Don’t wait til the horse get out to shut the stable door!” This means we should not wait until a situation gets out of control to try to find a solution to the problem. Classic case a lot of parents have thrown their hands up in the air because they can’t control their children. Too many want to be their children’s friends instead of focusing on parenting. Children don’t get out of hand over night. Parents will tell you they didn’t have much growing up so they are giving their children everything- over compensating for what they themselves lacked. Some of these children don’t appreciate anything so the time the parent can’t give all hell gin break loose! They will go bully someone else’s child, ro. A corner shop or car Jack somebody!! Some parents got flogged growing up so they don’t discipline their children often forgetting that discipline isn’t about spanking. It’s about setting boundaries so that children learn right from wrong. It’s so they understand what is acceptable behaviour and know that actions have consequences. When we see children doing the wrong thing stop skinning wunna teet and saying it’s cute!! It really isn’t! That’s why we have so many stable barns flying open and the lawyers making all the money! Don’t come at me. I said what I said!
